This is Brins Mesa at the end of Soldiers Pass Road
in W. Sedona. This is where fire started on the left
side of the hill where smoke shows now. If wind was from
the West, it could have spread up Soldiers Pass Rd. Wind
was from the South and it spread North.

danger.
. June 20, 2006 -- 3rd day of fire and is only 5%
contained
Huge columns of smoke as it burns toward the Oak
Creek Canyon - 6-20-2006
Helicopters at work- 8 Helios and 4 tanker planes
working with 500 ground crew.
After it climbed the hill, it started burning North
toward Oak Creek Canyon. Today it reached the canyon.
